BRIAN'S STORY
Brian grew up in Maine where he spent his time, drawing, reading, hiking, camping, fishing. hunting, and unfortunately, getting into trouble. He was an inventive and dedicated criminal but is now channeling his energies into his art, trying to better himself as an artist and person, and helping others.
Since his incarceration in 2016, Brian has completed several intensive Behavorial Therapeutic Programs which help inmates overcome long entrenched criminal thinking and behavior patterns. After graduating from these programs, he continued being a mentor to those still enrolled.
Since 2017, Brian has been a GED tutor and has helped many inmates earn their GED'S, something he finds very rewarding. He himself earned a 3000-hour apprenticeship certificate in education from the U.S. Department of Labor.
For over 3 years Brian has been a Suicide Watch Companion, sitting with vulnerable inmates and helping them through their crisis'.
He taught a Colored Pencil Technique Class for 2 years and is currently a tutor in the Vocational Training Program.
Brian once spent an enormous amount of time and energy on destructive misadventures, but his efforts today are helping others to avoid the errors he spent so much of his life living under.
